Call for Papers: SAL CASTRO MEMORIAL CONFERENCE

On  February 17-18, 2023, the "Sal Castro Memorial Conference on the Emerging Historiography of the Chicano Movement and the Long History of Mexican American Civil Rights Struggles" will host a special symposium which honors the work and legacy of Dr. Mario T. Garcia, who will retire from his position as faculty member of the UCSB Chicana and Chicano Studies Department. This conferences will be held at the following location: 
 
McCune Room, Interdisciplinary Humanities Center, UC Santa Barbara
 
This conference is currently accepting paper proposal for the event.
 
Paper proposals should be no more than 100 words. Please include a short cv. Proposals can cover any aspect of the Chicano Movement or the Long History of Mexican American civil rights struggles prior to and after the Chicano Movement. It can also include papers on the work and legacy of Prof. García.
