Workers of the world unite!
There is an upcoming event for International Workers' Day in Santa Barbara County, hosted by the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE) and created on Facebook.
CAUSE's mission is to build grassroots power to realize social,economic and environmental justice for the people of the California Central Coast Region through policy research, leadership development, organizing, and advocacy. The Central Coast Region is defined as the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Moneterey and San Benito. As UCSB residents, we of the Chicana/o Studies Department wish to participate in uplifting workers within our county, across the country, and internationally especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Details of the event are:
1) Join our "Earth Day to May Day" Social Media Campaign at May Day 805 or at www.mayday805.org, as we uplift the need for an intersectional movement for workers!
2) COVID-Safe Care Rally - Care about workers that care about you. Car rally will meet at 5:30 pm and start at 6:00 pm at Canon Perdido & Quarantina.
3) To top it off, join us at the First Friday El Centro SB Open Mic at 7:30 pm to celebrate workers and uplift the art of our "Earth Day to May Day" social media campaign.

¡Hay varias formas de participar!
1) ¡Únase a nuestra campaña de medios sociales "Día de la Tierra hasta el Primero de Mayo" en el May Day 805 o en www.mayday805.org, donde aumentamos la necesidad de un movimiento interseccional para los trabajadores!
